Council met via Zoom on June 11. Discussion centered on how the church will operate during the continuing Covid crisis, and around preparation for a congregational meeting on the church renovations/Connecting Campaign.
- Motion to keep the church building closed through the end of August was approved unanimously. Exceptions may be made for small groups up to 10 people as approved by Pastors.
- Motion to approve an outdoor service for Ardelle Bowron’s inurnment was approved unanimously with the following provisions:Outdoors service, masks required, masks and hand sanitizer available, distance chairs, small group of immediate family only, others can attend via video that they provide, Require “release save harmless” agreement electronically signed prior to service, and post a sign with directions/church not liable info.Will need to open a single restroom and have it cleaned afterward.
- Motion for Small Gatherings 10 or fewer outside at church, or other places, for church events. Guidance/parameters on gatherings: 10 or fewer people, totally voluntary attendance, meet outside church building or off property, sign release, physical distancing, masks. Approved unanimously.
- Targeting July 19 for a special congregational meeting to decide on building renovations stemming from the Connecting Campaign.
