Staff Positions Available
Faith Formation Coordinator
The purpose of this ministry position is to nurture the formation of faith of children and families through Wednesday evening and Sunday morning programming. Atonement also recognizes the overwhelming data indicating the importance of the home and family in the development of faith.
This staff member reports to the Associate Pastor for Children, Youth, and Household Ministry. The position is part-time (20 hours/week) and includes pro-rated health benefits (50%), or an equivalent reimbursable health savings account. Responsibilities involve working primarily with children (birth-5th grade) and the implementation of cross-generational activities.
Additional hours may be available temporarily for this role while we are in the Associate Pastor search process.
As we emerge from the Covid-19 Pandemic, certain responsibilities below will need to be adapted or re-implemented as safety precautions allow.
Associate Music Director
The Associate Music Director supports the faith of the congregation through the ministry of music. The position has three main components: accompanying the Sanctuary Choir and congregation in their singing, directing Spirit Song, a small vocal ensemble, and playing preludes and postludes as needed in worship. Applicants who play the organ are invited to identify this to the search committee. Atonement also has a K-5th ensemble and a middle/high school ensemble. Applicants are encouraged to identify interest in these ensembles as well.
